Model Scale

A part of my friend's kill team (https://sketchbookgaming.blogspot.com/)
So I will be going up against some of the above pictured force tomorrow.  Ugh.  My Friend has taken to creating these monsters to try and capture the look and feel of what the Space Marines (Chaos included) should be as depicted in all the books; meta humans morphed into super humans that tower over mere mortals.  The models for Chaos and Space Marines that Games Workshop put out don't really capture that look.  Put an Imperial Guardsmen (or whatever they are called now) next to a vanilla Space Marine and they are about the same size.  That just doesn't really compute.  However, with the introduction of the Primaris line of model, GW has made a huge step in the right direction, especially with the dreadnoughts (love those models!).

My primaris dreadnought compared to the original sized model - wow!

My friend has done an awesome job in upsizing his models even beyond the primaris sized models (the model in the first pic on the left is the primaris one).  I told him that eventually it will look like I am fielding an army of ratling sized models as he continues to experiment in this direction!

It will be fun to see these giants on the board tomorrow and see how my Blackstone Fortress Team stacks up against his new Chaos Team (and he's bringing War Hounds too!).  The Tau won't make it to the table tomorrow as I am waiting on some paint to come in.  I haven't been able to get any painting done this week due to life events but hopefully can start on them next week.
