Jar's Beginner Painting Workshop, NOVA Open 2018.

So I had the extreme pleasure to attend a painting workshop given by Massive Voodoo's own Roman Lappat, aka Jar!  The class was phenomenal!  And very intense.  Class started the Sunday before the main opening of NOVA Open 2018 so it was actually pretty quiet in the hotel during our 3 day class.  I think that was actually a benefit to allow complete focus on learning.

Class started at 4 PM Sunday and went until 10:30 or so that night.  The whole thing was like trying to drink from a fire hose at full blast.  I probably should have taken Wednesday off to recover from the whole thing!

We started with a block of wood to be used as a plinth and a sprue of Game Workshop's Demonette's.  We each put together one of the models and put it aside to concentrate on the plinth.  The sessions would go between theory and hands on to apply what was discussed.  This went on until the final day where we completed the whole thing.

I plan on doing it again next year!

We each had to make a color wheel starting from the 3 primary colors
